For over 130 years the Schweizer Maennerchor "Helvetia" (Pittsburgh Swiss singers) has provided the Pittsburgh area with Swiss ethnic entertainment. The choir was founded in 1874 in Allegheny City (now the North Side), and was a founding member of the North American Swiss Singing Alliance (NASSA), This year they will perform during the dedication of the Swiss Nationality Room at the Cathedral of Learning, and compete in the 2012 Saengerfest in Kitchener, Canada.
